Hello everyone and welcome to anther product review here at TCM! Today I’ll be covering a prestige purchase that I debated buying for a very long time! Anyone who’s been here for a while knows I love to save money with coupons, sales, etc. Therefore, buying a makeup palette FULL PRICE is a BFD in my world. That said, after doing a lot of research, I felt that the UD Moondust Palette would be a good purchase.
Above you can see all of the palette shades, as well as the shades swatched on my arm!
To be fair, I’ve had this palette for maybe a month and a half now, so I’ve messed with it a bit already. I find all of the colors super duper pigmented which is great! Also, it is very opaque without a base color underneath which is a plus for me because I hate blending! I mean, I’ll do it, but it’s so much workkkk. I just wanna look cute and keep it moving. These shades make me feel like I’m on the set of Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century which is very trippy and fun at the same time.
My favorite shade is probably Lightyear because I’m trying really hard to incorporate more green into my daily look! Galaxy is a close second because it’s almost like a black with green glitter pressed into it and it’s so pretty! I definitely had to use a primer with these shades because without it the fallout is real yo! I tried them with both the UD Primer Potion and NYX Glitter Primer and I think NYX’s works better in this case.
Should I Buy the Moondust Palette?
Bottom Line: Yes, you should buy this palette. I get that glitter isn’t for everyone, but for those who do enjoy wearing it on at least a semi-regular basis, this is a great bang for your buck! Moondust shadows by themselves cost $21 and this palette is only $49. That means by buying the palette you get 8 colors for a little more than you would pay for 2 individual shadows. It must be noted, however, that the colors in the palette only contain .02 oz of product while the individuals contain .05 oz. Also, say you already own a couple individual shadows. There are a few colors exclusive to the palette that you could pick up as well.
