Unlike February, March was bursting to the brim with things that I absolutely adored! Maybe it’s the good beach weather in my pores that’s making me feel this way, but hey, who cares?! 🙂 Anyways, let’s get started.
I found this awesome online shop after they liked a couple of my pictures on Instagram (networking at its finest). It’s like what Nasty Gal originally was and a lower priced Modcloth all rolled into one. Basically, the fashionable curators at TRV scour through all the thrift shops in Miami and bring back the gold for us to purchase. They also stock in newly made items with a vintage feel to them. the most expensive items on the site are their coats and jackets, and even then, most items won’t exceed $100. So if you’re looking to pad your closet with timeless pieces at a low price, check out Total Recall Vintage. They also have a blog and an Etsy store that you can check out.
2. LUSH Buffy Body Butter
I’ve already nearly exhausted the wonders of this beauty bar in a previous post, but I just can’t say enough how good it’s been to me. My eczema has cleared up exponentially, and my skin always feel great after use. It’s great for when I have my personal spa days and it’s just amazing!
3. The Body Shop Olive Oil Exfoliator and Body Butter
I didn’t write a full blown review on the olive oil products I picked up during my trip to Lenox mall, but I feel like it’s very much worth mentioning. The body exfoliator is great for when I want a break from the Buffy bar because that thing was $13 and I don’t want to use it all at once! The body butter is a good compliment for the Buffy bar as I put it on after I’m done exfoliating and it’s a great moisturizer. Since I only got travel sizes of both of these, I’ll have to go back for the full sizes, and the shower gel too.
3. The Cinderella Collection at Hot Topic
Late last month, I wrote a seriously in depth review of this collection. I know that’s kind of cheating, but since the movie didn’t come out til this month I’ll count it! I know it’s cheesy, but the only word I can think of to describe this collection is,well, magical. Pair that with the makeup collection MAC put out for the movie (even though that sold out ages ago) and it’s just been a great month for the girl in the blue dress.
4. PVRIS (pronounced Paris)
I was recently introduced to this band by a friend of mine, and I’ve been digging it pretty hard that month. I got really amped up when I realized that they would also be playing at Vans Warped Tour this year (I’m going!!). If you listen to anything by PVRIS, listen to their latest single My House. Ugh. Just yes!
5. The Gossip Girl Book Series
Why am I just now getting into this series? I tried watching the show, but I got bored after a few episodes and I never bothered to pick up the books. Let me tell you, the books are a heckuva lot better than the show IMO, just like Pretty Little Liars and the Lying Game and most book to movie/show adaptations. But that’s a book purist talking soo… But anyway, I am in love with Blair Waldorf. I’m just like her! Lover of old movies, I work hard for what I’ve had, and hey I don’t look half bad either. 😉 I know a couple Serenas in my life too, and man are they irritating. This whole cast of characters is just awesome (except Chuck :P) and I’m on the 4th book already! <3
That’s it for March! I’ll be updating you all on my Savanna adventures pretty soon so keep on the look out! <3
